Safe you, safe me!

  • Do you think you have a right to drive a vehicle?
  • Do you think an amber signal means that you should slow down and be careful as you approach a signal?

If your answered 'yes' to either of these questions, well, you are wrong!

And unfortunately, you are not in minority.

But we don't blame you.  Most of the driving schools teach only very basic control on the vehicle, they don't teach "traffic sense" at all!  Most of us have learnt our "traffic sense" from the traffic around us.  No "classroom training", only "on job training" - and what a guru we have got!  :(  No wonder our roads are so unsafe that Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad see 400 or more traffic deaths every year...

Safe you, safe me!

SPTM wants to end this.  We have launched this ambitious program that will have two components:

Road safety sessions for companies

Sessions in 100 companies in 2016, to focus on safety tips.
Going much, much beyond traffic rules.  Under this program, our team of trainers will provide some interesting tricks and tips that are commonly not known to many of us.

Road safety sessions for schools

We have a dream.

All children in Pune should undergo road safety training before what they see on road spoils them.

All children. An entire generation.

We will begin with 100 schools in 2016.

We will focus on children from Std 3, 4 and 5.  100 schools in 2016.  All schools in subsequent years.

We also plan to give informative safety posters, award companies and schools with best safety practices.

While the sessions in companies may be supported by the companies themselves, our school sessions need your help!
